The Birkenstock Tatami brand of shoe, many people don’t realize are not actually made by the Birkenstock company themselves, but by another manufacturer under license from Birkenstock. Before Birkenstock would license them to produce the shoes the company had to agree that they would produce a high quality shoe that met Birkenstocks quality standard.
